20.9.2016 OmaPSOAS to be renewed

PSOAS reservation and information system OmaPSOAS has now been in use for six years. When the system was launched in 2010, it was mainly used on computers. Every year, however, the share of mobile users has grown and at the same time customers have given more and more feedback about challenges related to mobile use.

To tackle these challenges a new version of OmaPSOAS will be introduced on the 26th of September. The new responsive site will improve the user experience by resizing and modifying the view based on the display size. The graphics of the new version have also been renewed so that it resembles the PSOAS website www.psoas.fi. The features that used to be difficult to use on touch screen have been renewed.

The new OmaPSOAS version will be available from the 26th of September in www.omapsoas.fi. Features of the system will remain the same but mobile users’ problems should be eliminated. If there were any bugs to be found, please report them to asuntotoimisto@nullpsoas.fi. They will be fixed promptly. On September the 26th short interruptions in the service may take place.

13.9.2016 Welcome new tenant!

It is our pleasure to welcome you to stay at PSOAS. Moving in to PSOAS student housing will most likely signify great change in your life. Don’t start worrying about things beforehand though. Your neighbours will be quite nice and you will surely get along.

In order to get a good start to living it is worthwile to have a look at the ABC to PSOAS living given in the accommodation office when signing the tenancy agreement. More information is available in the Resident’s guide on our website. Also the accommodation office and the property supervisors will offet their help when necessary. Last minute apartments available for September will be offered to the fastest callers on +358 8 3173110 on Thursday the 25th of August at 8 am. A list of vacancies will be updated as reservations are made.

25.7.2016 Keys to Kandintie 1 apartments

The keys to Kandintie 1 apartments can be picked up from PSOAS accommodation office starting from Thursday 28th of July.  Notice that you may move in earliest on Friday the 29th of July because of the renovation.

25.7.2016 Few apartments left for August

Last minute apartments for August are now all reserved. The busy phone hour was a challenge to our phone system an even though the whole customer service staff took part in the phone service the waiting times became long. A lot of offers were made and as their validity expires tomorrow, it is probable that some apartments become available again. If you are still looking for an apartment, you may try calling us again tomorrow.

Dear new exchange student!

We have received many applications and questions regarding them. Here is some updated information about the process.

 

For University of Oulu exchange students:

We have now offered all of the rooms that we have for University exchange students coming this Autumn. We wish we could find a room for everyone, but unfortunately it is not possible. If there are any cancellations, we will offer the cancelled apartments according to the queue. Please check the website of the University of Oulu for other housing options in Oulu:

 

For Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Oulu UAS) exchange students:

We have now started offering apartments for Oulu UAS exchange students coming this Autumn. By the 15th of July we will have offered all of the rooms that we have for Oulu UAS exchange students. If you haven’t received any offer by then, please contact Oulu UAS and ask them. We wish we could find a room for everyone, but unfortunately it is not possible.
