9.5.2017 Results of this spring’s tenant satisfaction survey

PSOAS’ annual tenant satisfaction survey was held in the beginning of April. Similar to previous years, the survey was implemented online with ZEFsurvey by ZEF Solutions, and over 1,000 tenants took the survey. We would like to thank all the participants for the feedback, and we will do our best to improve our operations further with the help of the feedback!
With regard to customer service, the tenants felt that matters had developed positively and all the grades for this sector improved. The tenants were the most satisfied with the friendliness of service and the email service, which both had a grade of 8.53 on a scale from 4 to 10. The weakest grade, 8.25, was given to the phone service, which was nevertheless also the most improved section.
The clearest improvements had taken place in property supervision. Aside for the processing of fault reports, all sections improved, some quite significantly. The friendliness of service, in particular, saw some positive development, as the grade climbed from 8.37 to 8.50. The best grade in the property supervision section, 8.54, went again to processing of fault reports, despite the small dip in the grade.
Tenants were about as satisfied with maintenance and cleaning services as in the previous year. The sections had some small changes to both directions. People were generally satisfied with how promises were kept, and it received a grade of 8.53. The area that was seen as needing the most improvement was snow clearing in the winter.
With regard to the services during the housing period, grades decreased gradually. The grades of both electronic services and Internet connections had decreased slightly, even though they were still at a good level compared to the other sections. Based on this tenant feedback, it is good that both Internet connections and online services are planned to be updated during the following year. The current contract term with CampusNet will end at the end of the year, and the negotiations about a new contract are currently underway and so are the plans for the renovations of electronic services.
As for the apartments and living environment, the grades were mostly at the same level with the previous years. Tenants have valued our decision not to raise rents, now for the fourth consecutive year, as the competitiveness of rents received an excellent grade, 8.85, instead of last year’s 8.76. The location (9.07), local services (8.71) and recycling (8.63) were also seen as good, although in the open comments recycling was also criticised a little.
This year, for the first time, we also asked our tenants about how willing they would be to recommend PSOAS to their friends and family. We are very happy that our tenants’ willingness to recommend PSOAS received a grade of 9!
Thank you for everyone who left feedback. We will analyse the results carefully and work hard in order to improve those areas that need it.
A gift voucher to Verkkokauppa was raffled among the participants, and the winner was Werner Goldmann. Congratulations to the winner!
