2.10.2015 Energy saving week 5.10 – 11.10.2015
Energy Saving Week is held week 41. The theme of the week is to focus on saving energy and on your energy consumption habits.
At PSOAS the expenses of heating, electricity and water in 2014 were 37 % of all the management expenses of real estates. Saving energy is a part of sustainable and environmentally friendly way of living. Saving energy also saves your money.
We at PSOAS want to improve the energy efficient living without giving up the living quality. We have tried to reduce the energy consumption of real estates by changing, among others, water pieces of furniture, by using energy saving lamps and by making sure that the house saunas are not heated when not in use. In 2013, we arranged a water saving campaign for our tenants together with the tenant committees. The water consumption in 2014 at PSOAS was 91,3 l/a tenant/year. The water consumption has actually reduced since the year 2004 by 30,5%.
